Ken Burns national Parks worth watching ----- beautiful

My husband has said so many times in his video that , he is giving it the "Ken Burns' effect. I never understood, now after watching parts of the documentary I have grasped it! Watch the documentary if you have a chance, PBS has been playing segments the last few weeks. I now know better what he has been asking for in some of my stills that he converts for his work.

  1. In recent years, Ken Burns has been a guest at the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival - an annual 10-day event sponsored by the Hot Springs Documentary Film Institute.

This year's festival, Oct 16-25, will feature Robert Kenner’s documentary, Food, Inc., lifting the veil on the U.S. food industry – which has often put profit ahead of consumer health, livelihoods of American farmers, safety of workers and our own environment.

Other feature films include a Ron English documentary, Abraham Obama, and the world premiere about the life of legendary bluesman Bobby Rush. Kenner, English and Rush will be in attendance at the 18th HSDFF.

Known as the Filmmaker’s Festival for its non-competitive focus, HSDFI is finalizing more than 130 films to be screened this year, which include entries from countries throughout the world. Tickets for the festival are $5 per film, $50 for a three-day pass and $150 for a ten-day pass.

The oldest U.S. film festival dedicated solely to documentaries, the HSDFF is one of four preliminary sites for the Academy Awards in the documentary category. For more info, see http://www.hsdfi.org.
