Griffin Scott gone from KTVE fact or fiction

So is it fact or fiction Griffin Scott made a remark about noone knowing what the Enola Gay was in the news room. He facebooked it ! we all saw it .....but we all laughed at ourselves.... I think it meant age verses having a brain.

facebook and twitter are magic and unless you understand the game, beware. I guess the KTVE powers humor bites. He was probadly right.... let's give all of the newscasters a test and see who passes but god forbid we discuss it later. on social media. So much for freedom of speech and not taking ourselves to serious.

I hate to lose another good news person but the heads are rolling daily around here for the smallest blip on the radar screen.

I just did a brief history lesson here in my building to some of the youngsters . It was 50/50. Maybe that should be a survey question. Sorta like who can pass the US citizenship test.

  1. That is so ridiculous that it makes me sick. Everyone is taking it as a joke it's so absurd. What moron is responsible for this?! I'm boycotting their stations.

  2. Heather Parker today on the radio news she does mispronounced the new baseball field in the City of Monroe as the "Mo Narks" ...not Monarchs. Perhaps she should be fired also.

  3. Griffin Scott has how many DUI's now? His real name is Chad Sliger.

  4. KTVE was just waiting for a reason...
Griffin Scott is really Chad Sliger. That is his real name. Why was he hiding his true identity? Probably because he is a convicted drunk driver, frequent public drunk, sexual deviant, and unfaithful husband.
Sliger has been arrested and convicted of drunk driving so many times, his license was revoked by the State of Louisiana. Look it up.
If you ever saw Sliger at Bennigans in West Monroe hosting a trivia contest while blitzed out of his mind, you know what an embarassment he was to our community.
Before he was fired by KTVE, Sliger liked to harass other employees. While covering a story with a young KTVE intern named Sarah, Sliger looked up the girl's skirt as she stood above him on a levee.
Sliger then proceeded to make remarks about her “polka dot panties” for weeks. Sliger also told the intern that his wife's genetalia is pierced. The girl's mother was so upset she encouraged her daughter to file a sexual harassment complaint against Sliger.
Sliger also harassed KTVE's former weekend anchor. Sliger repeatedly made sexual advances and asked the woman to send naked pictures of herself to his phone. The former weekend anchor filed a sexual harassment complaint with Nexstar Broadcasting, which owns KTVE.
However, Sliger's most egregious act occurred when he had a cameraman drive him to a woman's house just off the Millhaven exit near Ouachita Parish High School. While the cameraman sat in the car, Sliger went inside and had sex with the woman. He later bragged about the encounter to several KTVE employees.
KTVE made a good call. I will pray for his wife Amy and his children.

  5. Kamm. . . Your rock called. It said it misses you being underneath it and wonders why you crawled out.

By the by, Griffin posted this link on Facebook. Someone marked it as unsafe. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

  6. I think some people should realize nobody's perfect. Maybe they should focus on their own lives, instead of spreading personal information about another which may or may not be entirely true. In any case, it's nobody's business but Griffin's. Let him and his family handle it themselves. It's funny how Monroe likes to talk...

  7. I heard around the station was that Griffin made a comment about a local business man on his myspace page and that man called up there and was steamin! I can't remember exactly but I think it had to do on a story Meagan was working on.

  8. This is the exact reason I left Monroe/WM. I worked at Bennigan's when "sliger"/Scott, whatever his name is, hosted the Trivia there. I can honestly say never once did he attempt to get out of the way towards me, or anyone else that I know. People run their mouth about everyone else in this small town we all know and love. It's a curse of the city. I do know that this man is a damn good news anchor. I don't give a rat's ass what he does on his own time, because I sure as hell don't want people in my personal business. I support him 120%

  9. Do a google search of recently hired KTVE News Director, "Melissa Klinzing" (be sure to include the quotation marks " " ). She is a "hatchet man" or in this case a "hatchet woman." You will see she has worked as a "news director" at many places in the last thirteen or so years and you'll find one lawsuit over one of her firings alleging age discrimination. I've seen this type of activity in the business community in the last twenty or so years since I became aware of it. An employer brings in someone, a "hatchet man" to clear out the "dead wood," meaning the employees the employer is looking to get rid of, get "the axe," i.e. get terminated. It seems Melissa Klinzing is one of these hatchet people. They go from job to job and the result is terminations ensue after they come on board, after their "usefullness" ends, after they've gotten rid of everyone they are supposed to, they themselves are "let go" and move on to their next, "cutting out the dead wood," assignment.

  10. does KTVE seriously not have a email address where you can voice concerns and complaints to the station?......if they do I cant find it. On their website all they have is a phone number and mailing address when you go to their contact section.

  12. Just goes to show that it doesn't pay to know anything these days, but not to worry: most don't.

  13. The news department at KTVE can be reached at news@nbc10news.net.

  14. Who ever the person is that said Griffin/Sliger Scott is a "damn good" anchor, well they are an idiot. Griffin Scott was the biggest joke to sit at a news desk. Randall Kamm was just as big of a doosh!! KTVE has not had a good anchor in years. Heather Parker is the closest thing that they have to a good anchor. I cannot find any reason to watch KTVE news. Maybe one day they will get it right and get some good people in there.

  16. I sure do wish that people would stop an think about the hurtful thinks that come
out of there mouth. We are all GOD'S Children
and he does not like ugly. One day we all are going to be held accountable for our actions. People tend to forget that and that as so sad. As far as Griffen Scott, all I can say is that I enjoyed his work.Just keep your head up and just know that people love to find the negative with somebody verses looking for the positive. That's proof by just reading these comments. It's sad!!!!!!
